Welcome!
I am originally from Nashville, went to school in Kentucky, and now live and work in Chicago. I studied studio art at Centre College, where my classes focused on classical training with traditional media. After college I started experimenting, focusing on abstract pieces that allowed more freedom for expression. I also studied graphic design at the School of the Art Institute. I enjoy exploring the possibilities that technology brings to the art world, but will always have a special place in my heart for traditional, hand-drawn media.
What I love about my drawings is playing with opposites: the juxtaposition of lines and curves, bright and muted colors, motion and stillness. What I aim for is beauty, balance, and a hint of realism. Inspiration comes from anything I find beautiful. My obsession with stained glass and celtic knotwork is easy to see, along with the chaotic growth of nature, and the beautifully intricate symmetry of mandalas.
I am always open for commissions, comments, and questions. Click the Contact button to send me a message.
